Q: What is "Raising Curious Minds" all about?
A: Raising Curious Minds began when I found myself struggling to keep my then 2-year-old engaged while caring for my newborn. I didn’t want to rely on an iPad/screen to keep him busy—I wanted activities that were hands-on, engaging, and easy to set up. As a teacher, I knew the importance of play-based learning, so I started creating resources to make learning fun and stress-free.
Now, I share these play-based digital downloads to help parents, carers, and educators support their little learners with simple, screen-free activities that build important early skills like literacy, numeracy, and fine motor development—without the overwhelm.
Q: Who creates the resources available on your website?
A: All resources are created by Talitha, a qualified primary school teacher with a Master’s degree in Primary Education and a mum of two toddler boys. She has a passion for making learning fun, engaging, and easy for parents, carers, and educators of little learners.
With over 10 years of experience creating and selling digital download resources for primary school-aged children, Talitha designs each resource to support play-based learning without the overwhelm, helping young children develop key early skills through hands-on, engaging activities.
Q: How do I download my purchased resources?
A: Once your purchase is complete, an email with a link to download your files will be sent within 10 minutes (usually instant). Be sure to check your junk/spam folders if you don’t see it in your inbox.
You can also download your resources directly from the purchase page once your purchase has been completed.
If you're having trouble locating your download link, please email admin@raisingcuriousminds.com, and a new download link can be sent to you.
Q: What file formats are your resources available in?
A: Most of our resources are provided in PDF format for easy printing. Editable files are available in PowerPoint and Canva templates, allowing you to customise them to suit your needs.
Q: Can I use these resources in a classroom or childcare setting?
A: Yes! Our resources are designed for both home and classroom use. You may print and use them with your students, but sharing digital files or redistributing them is not permitted.
Q: Do you offer refunds?
A: Due to the digital nature of our products, all sales are final, refer to our refund policy for more information. However, if you experience any issues with your files, please reach out for support.
Q: Can I request a custom resource?
A: At this time, we do not offer custom resource creation. However, if you have an idea for a resource you'd love to see, we’d love to hear from you! We're always open to feedback and new ideas, and we regularly add to our growing collection of resources. Feel free to send any suggestions to admin@raisingcuriousminds.com, and we’ll consider adding your idea to our future uploads. Your input helps us shape the resources that best support you and your little learners!
Q: How often are new resources added?
A: The addition of new resources depends on time and availability. Currently, there is a backlog of over 50 products waiting to be uploaded. As a small business owner and mum of two toddlers, this process can take time. However, we are aiming to have a few new products uploaded every couple of weeks as we continue to grow and expand our collection. Thank you for your patience and support!
Q: What do I need to use these resources?
A: All you need is a printer (a colour printer is ideal) and paper. A laminator is a great addition if you want to get more use out of each printout, but it’s not necessary.
Q: What do you use to print your resources?
A: I use an Epson EcoTank printer, which I highly recommend if you're doing a lot of printing. It’s a bit of a pricey investment upfront, but the ink costs are minimal, so it really pays off in the long run. For laminating, I just use an A3 laminator from Kmart—my original one from Officeworks lasted 12 years, and when it finally died, I grabbed this one as a quick backup, but it’s been performing just as well!
Q: My print quality isn’t great, how do I fix this?
A: To improve print quality, go to the media and quality settings when printing and select best quality. I usually print on the matte paper settings for the best results. However, as all printers are different, I highly recommend doing a test run with a few different print settings to see what gives you the best results.
Q: How do you attach the tile toppers to the magnetic tiles?
A: Simply use a small bit of Blu Tack in each of the corners and stick the toppers directly onto the tiles. It’s super easy to remove when you no longer want them on there!
Q: I have a question that isn't listed here—how can I get help?
A: If you have a question that isn’t covered in the FAQ, feel free to email us at admin@raisingcuriousminds.com or send us a DM on Instagram. We aim to respond within 24 hours!
